The frame rate is uneven and while this isn’t a straight action game there’s a constant sense that it’s only barely managing to work on the Switch 2. The occasionally blurry visuals are also less impressive than other launch ports and while some of that may be fixed with a patch, it’s clear this is a fairly compromised port. Switch 2 still seems the least appropriate console for a fighting game, given the Joy-Cons have no D-pad and we don’t think there’s a fighting stick for it yet, but beyond that this really has no drawbacks. There’s the question of whether Capcom will give it exactly the same support as the other version but it’s already got the current DLC available for it, so hopefully that means they’re not just going to abandon it after launch.
